IIDA Ne FASHION SHOW 2015
The International Interior Design Association of New England (IIDA NE) Fashion Show showcases the collaboration between design firms, schools and their vendors creating a themed wearable fashion made from materials and finishes we use everyday in Interior Design. With over 1200 attendees, it has become a charitable fund raising event. The IIDA NE Board of Directors have used a portion of the proceeds from the show to fund educational initiatives and to specifically institute a scholarship award to Interior Design degree candidates.
THEME:
SENSEation

Best Interpretation of Theme, Best Use of Materials, and Best Red Carpet Look. From the three, the highest cumulative score determined the Best School Entry within the school category. The theme that year was SENSEation and each entry was required to included a minimum of one red carpet look.
OUR CONCEPT:
Our concept was Life and how at some point we experience some kind of pain in our lives; the most difficult sensation. We took this negative sensation and turned it into a positive sensation; giving us happiness. But with out acceptance you can not have one without the other; our neutral sensation. These dress designs were based on Life’s major sensations; pain, acceptance and happiness.

IIDA Fashion Show Blurb:
Throughout life, endless emotional obstacles confront us. Our struggle lies in whether or not we accept these personal challenges and can overcome the darkest of times. For if we choose to accept, we can often find happiness – one of our most exhilarating sensations.
